2026 EHLL TOURNAMENT TEAM SELECTION PROCEDURE

TRYOUTS – by invitation

The EHLL Board is to select Tournament Team Managers no later than May 10 th , 2026. 
Any coach interested in managing a Tournament Team must declare their interest to the EHLL Board in writing no later than May 9 th , 2026. 

By May 10 th , 2026 each Regular Season Manager will submit a list of age-eligible players from their team who they think should be invited to the tryout.  Managers will nominate players based on the below grid. (In the unlikely event that there are 12u eligible players in Minors, their regular season Manager must get approval from EHLL Board to nominate.)

Managers are asked to only nominate players who have a reasonable chance of making the Tournament Team.

Managers are allowed to nominate additional players from their team by submitting the player’s name to the Baseball or Softball Coordinators and Player Agent who will then decide if that player will be invited to the tryout. Requests must be submitted 2 days
prior to the above due date for nominations.
* This will only be approved if the additional player has a reasonable chance of making
the Tournament Team.

EHLL will conduct tryouts for invited players between May 15 th  and May 18 th  2026.  The Manager will lead the tryout with help from the EHLL Board.  Attendance at the tryout is not mandatory for Tournament Team selection but it is highly
encouraged.  Parents are not allowed to attend the tryout.  Players must be dropped off and picked up
from the tryout site but parents cannot stay to watch. 

Immediately following the tryout, the Tournament Team Manager will solicit feedback from Board Members in attendance.    
Within 3 days following the tryout, the Tournament Team Manager will meet with EHLL Board Members who attended the tryout to finalize the roster.
